New York University (NYU) is a private school comprising 14 schools, departments and colleges divided into five campuses located throughout Manhattan. NYU's School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS), designed for adult learners, is based at the main campus at Washington Square Center in Greenwich Village. The City University of New York (CUNY) is an urban public university serving more than 480, 000 students at 23 colleges and institutions in New York City.
